God says, "Are You Binding What I am Loosing?"

By Sheila Jackson

The phrase to bind and to loose was often used by the Children of Israel. It meant to prohibit and to permit. To bind a thing was to forbid it, to loose it, meant to allow it to be done.

So what are you and I doing?

Are we really allowing the “Will of God” to be loosed in our lives?

Or are we “binding the blessings” that God is permitting our way?

All that’s good and perfect comes from God the word says he shall hold “no good thing” back from us.

But the Holy Ghost revealed that through fear, doubt, disease, disobedience and unrepented sin, we bind our blessings.

We are “free-willed” agents and we disregard what is good and will receive bad; but because God is rich in mercy, he receives us back.

By nature we are the children of wrath and with that same “bound, wrath”, mentality, we do not know what is good for us. That is why we must allow God to loose knowledge through his Spirit. In all our getting we must get an understanding on what he wants from us.

Sure praise Him!! Let everything thing that have breath, praise the Lord!!

But what about learning the attributes of God?

Finding out about him; His likes and dislikes, his names and what they mean when we call them out in prayer, what causes him to be sad? Why the earth trembles and the flowers die? Why the land births forth in certain seasons and why the trees clap in praise? God wants to loose knowledge upon us, so that we may approach the throne of grace boldly as we ought.

He still wants to loose freedom and healing. He still wants to loose us from sadness and anger. He still wants to loose us from suppression and depression. He still wants to loose us from abuse and neglect and most of God still wants to loose joy and peace upon the earth.

For in the last days His spirit shall be loosed/poured out on all flesh.

He wants to loose his glory to come upon us.

But out of fear and lack of knowledge we perish and prohibit his goodness toward us.

For God is ready to loose victory in our lives.

He used my poetry book for an example on how we can bind the blessings that God is trying to loose.

He had given me the people, the set-up, the name and the resources to go forward, but “Me”, thinking I had time, began to take my eye off the “Will of God” and do my own thing and what happened? I missed a great opportunity for that season in my life.

Because I bound myself with disobedience and fear I didn’t move in the flow that was loosed my way.

Yes the gifts are given without repentance, but what a disappointment when God is ready to bless and you and I aren’t ready to receive.

For one, our minds can be so burdened down with the cares of this life that we find ourselves in stagnate pools.

There is freedom in the spirit and that is where God’s Will is.

We unknowingly at times don’t realize the power that we posses.
He has given us total access to him through the Holy Spirit.

By praying and fasting we can now approach his courts with praise. We now can call those things as though they were. We now have the power to understand some of the attributes of God.

Understanding his character will open our lives up for His Will to be loosed upon us. But because of flesh we will constantly bind our thought patterns and shut our spiritual ears to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying.

With a word, the word of God says Elijah locked heaven so that it would not rain for three years and six months. The rain did not fall!! God allowed the binding of the heavens! What an awesome power to the heavenlies we possess.

But do we really know this?

Have we truly accepted the power of God and do we use it in a way to please him?

He wants to solely be the “I AM that I AM God” that he was to the Children Israel. His “Will” should be good enough for us, no matter what it may be. Knowing this we can pray off the bindings of fear and truly be loosed into God’s spiritual atmosphere.
